Welcome to Indian Summer, a small UK based business. A mother and daughter team, Ann Bridges and Jo Millar have studios in the South West of Britain making glass and ceramics for commissions and exhibitions.
Ann's jewellery is painstakingly built-up in layers using dichroic glass and sterling silver and gold foil. Each piece undergoes a series of firings, and is unique.
Jo makes functional glass, which is cut, fused and slumped through several firings, to achieve desired shape and colour.
It is similar to her ceramic work in that both are fired several times, building up layers to achieve a depth of colour and interest only achieved with gradual adjustment.
